Mariah Carey brushes aside her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame snub, saying, “Who cares?”

Mariah Carey has been overlooked for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the third consecutive time.

Mariah Carey made it clear she isn’t losing sleep over the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

For the third straight year, the five-time Grammy winner has been passed over for induction. But when asked about it, she responded with her signature cool.

“No,” she said when questioned if it bothered her, before adding with a smile, “Who cares? Give it to someone else. Fantastic.”

Rather than focusing on the snub, Carey is already shifting her attention to what she does best—Christmas. Even in April, she confirmed she’s gearing up for her annual holiday season dominance, a time closely tied to her hit All I Want for Christmas Is You.

Fans have been quick to defend her online, questioning why she still hasn’t been inducted. Carey, in return, sent them love, saying, “I love my fans. Always!”

With over 200 million records sold and 19 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, many expected her to be honored by now. Still, this year’s inductees included Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division / New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan.

Carey, however, is choosing not to dwell on it.
