The body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, believed to have been dead for a long time, was found on September 8, 2025.

d4vd has been transferred to the Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail, where he is being held in segregation after being charged with first-degree murder and related offences.
According to TMZ, the “Romantic Homicide” singer was moved late Monday from the LAPD’s 77th Street Station jail, where he had been held without bail since his arrest last week.
Segregation means he will spend most of his time in isolation, with limited interaction with other inmates. The Men’s Central Jail, which can house over 5,600 inmates, accommodates individuals across all security levels.
Prosecutors allege that d4vd murdered 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez after she threatened to expose their relationship, and later mutilated her body. District Attorney Nathan Hochman said a “sharp instrument” was used to dismember the victim, with her remains allegedly placed in two bags later found in the musician’s Tesla months after the incident.
On Monday, authorities filed charges of first-degree murder with special circumstances, including lying in wait, financial gain, and killing a witness. Additional charges include lewd acts with a minor and mutilation of a human body.
The musician has pleaded not guilty and requested an immediate preliminary hearing.
Through attorney Kent Schaffer, his family said: “We are disappointed but not surprised that the District Attorney made this decision. David’s family stands behind him 100%.”
Meanwhile, Celeste’s family declined to appear on camera following the announcement of charges.
