Platform to be developed with CMPak, Wibbow Technologies, says HEC officials

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is set to roll out a blockchain-powered digital attestation system, allowing students to verify their degrees online without the need for physical visits or document submissions, The News reported. Officials added that the platform will also let users submit requests and track application status.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has partnered with CMPak and Wibbow Technologies to develop a blockchain-based digital attestation system. This platform will allow students to verify degrees online with faster processing.
The system will remove the need for office visits and make it easier for students, especially those abroad or in remote areas. It is expected to be launched by June 30.
Earlier, the National Assembly committee criticized the current attestation process for being slow and costly. HEC is now introducing a secure digital system to improve efficiency.
The new system will connect 25 universities and the Foreign Office, aiming to modernize and simplify degree attestation in Pakistan.
