Matt Damon and Ben Affleck received a special honour in memory of Robin Williams.

Some reunions carry extra meaning—and this one is deeply personal.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are coming together again, not for a film project, but to honour the legacy of Robin Williams in a heartfelt tribute.
The longtime friends Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will receive the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award on April 27 in San Francisco, during a sold-out fundraiser hosted by Bring Change to Mind, founded by Glenn Close.
The award will be presented by the children of Robin Williams, adding a deeply emotional touch to the ceremony.

Their connection with Williams dates back to Good Will Hunting (1997), the film that marked a turning point in their careers. Both actors have often credited Williams for believing in them and helping bring the project to life.
Affleck and Damon have said, “Robin wasn’t just someone we admired. He made our dreams come true. We owe everything to him,” adding that his legacy goes beyond talent to the kindness and support he showed others.
Damon has also recalled being overwhelmed while watching Williams perform their script for the first time, describing it as an unforgettable moment. Williams, in turn, reassured them of their success, telling them, “It’s not a fluke. You guys really did this.”
Beyond nostalgia, the event highlights mental health advocacy, a cause closely tied to Williams’ legacy. Decades later, his impact continues to be remembered not just for his performances, but for the lives he touched and inspired.
